- The word which denotes a person, place, animal or things is called Noun
For Example:
- Mohan
- Boy
- Girls
- Pen
- Teacher
- Student
- Man
- Woman
- etc.
Kinds of Noun | संज्ञा के प्रकार
- There are five kind of Noun
- Proper Noun (व्यक्ति वाचक संज्ञा )
- Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा)
- Material Noun (पदार्थ वाचक संज्ञा)
- Collective Noun ( समूह वाचक संज्ञा )
- Abstract Noun (भाव वाचक संज्ञा )
Proper Noun | (व्यक्ति वाचक संज्ञा )
- The words witch denotes a particular person, place, animal or thins is called proper Noun.
Example:
- Mohan
- Rohit
- Reema
- Rekha
- Sheela
- Delhi
- Mumbai
- Allahabad
- Agra
Common Noun | (जातिवाचक संज्ञा)
- the words which denotes a common person, place, animal and things is called common Noun.
- The word which denotes whole class is called common Noun.
Example
- Boy (लड़का)
- City (शहर)
- Book (किताब)
- Dog (कुत्ता)

Theist (आस्तिक)
Material Noun | (पदार्थ वाचक संज्ञा)
- The word which denotes material is called material Noun.
- It can not be counted.
- जिन पदार्थों से दूसरी वस्तुएँ प्रत्यक्ष रूप से बनायी जा सकती है उन्हें material Noun करते हैं।
Example:
- Gold (सोना
- Milk (दूध)
- Curd (दही)
- Wood (लकड़ी)
- Plastic (प्लस्टिक)
- Cloth(कपड़ा)
- etc.
Collective Noun | (समूह वाचक संज्ञा)
- The word which denotes collection is called collective Noun.
Example
- Crowd (भीड़)
- class (कक्षा )
- Team (टीम)
- etc.
Abstract Noun | (भाव वाचक संज्ञा)
- The word which denote quality, action or state is called abstract Noun
Example
- Honesty (ईमानदारी )
- Beauty (सुन्दर )
- Calamity
- Bravery (बहादुरी)
